In 2003, FTD sold the domain rights for ftd.com to a small group of outside investors, believing that eCommerce would never play a large part in their 108-year-old floral collective. That decision led to this creative launch, directing viewers to the first Mother’s Day sales online.

Today, more than 85% of FTD sales is generated online and Mother’s Day remains the second biggest flower-giving holiday in their sales season. FTD eCommerce has expanded across devices, but the message remains the same. Nobody turns feelings into flowers like FTD.
